What a gem. I was a little worried as I booked this hotel on the phone with a rather surly/rude receptionist. However the staff were 1st class and the Hotel was one of the best we stayed at during out 10 day tour. We booked a high tea and was expecting a cuppa and some sticky buns, so were pleasantly... more

Upon arrival we were meet at the reception desk by what can only be described as a very grumpy manageress, where we were informed the we could not check-in yet as check-in wasn't until 2pm, as it was 1:30pm I thought this was a bit over the top, but never the less we thought we would there for go and... more

We chose this hotel for a birthday celebration and was absolutlely delighted. Lovely welcome on arrival at reception. Ideal location, room and food good. We were in Room 124 for which is a superior room overlooking the River Ness and is worth paying the extra cost. Hotel staff all friendly and helpful would definitely go back. If you are looking... more

As you approach the hotel, your first sighting is the Conservatory, which is the dining room. The view of the river is worth the cost of your meal. Reception was obtained by ringing a bell. Found it under a Teddy Bear that was being raffled, but a small notice lets you know it exists. My wife and I stay in... more

Myself and my boyfriend visited Inverness to celebrate our 1st anniversary and stayed at the Waterside hotel. Now, I am quite picky when it comes to hotels and I am always apprehentious with website pics but this hotels website does not do the hotel justice at all. It is much nicer when you actually get there. From the moment we... more

My husband and I have just returned from a three night trip to Inverness. The Waterside was first class; we stayed in the Townhouse Felstead ( room 143, which recommended by the very helpful receptionist when booking) and the room was great, with stunning views out onto River Ness. We had dinner in the hotel on two of the nights... more

Our plan was to spend new year in a log cabin on the black Isle which was prebooked. Halfway between inverness and aberdeen we got as call saying the cabin had flooded and was unavailable. We decided to head up anyway and hedge our bets (possibly end up sleeping in the car). After checking out a few places we started... more

Stayed here for 1 night to attend a party in the hotel. After reading the reviews, we were slightly concerned, but we had a very pleasant experience. Staff were very attentive and our check in was smooth and efficient. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed. Had a meal in the hotel - food was great and... more

Well well well, 1) Upon arrival, had to wait approx 10 mins for a member of staff to check us in, after going to find a member of staff to do so (even though a number of staff had walked straight past us). 2) Allocated Room 102. Although the room had a nice enough view outside, inside the room was... more
