This was my first B & B experience and it was really an unforgettable one. Infact, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Scotland and England in June, 2008. Each and everything about the WESTBOURNE reflected the exclusive taste and the personal touch of the hosts. From the breakfast in the morning to the pleasant personality of... more

Stayed in 6 different hotels/Guest houses in the past fortnight, I can honestly say, that this one was by far the best. World class, right down to the finest detail. Immaculately clean, comfortable. All mod-cons. You needn't ask for anything. Our room had a fridge, trouser press, excellent power shower and stero system. Available without asking for was Internet access,... more

Our stay at the Westbourne Guest House was very pleasant. The location is great, on the banks of the river Ness (wonderful sunsets). We stayed in the Bruce Room, it was very nice and clean. The bathroom was perfect. There were tea/coffee facilities, tv, hairdryer, dvd. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. In the room there is a very... more

This was one of the best sleeps I had in Scotland. The room was so clean and every detail was attended to. The breakfast was fantastic, and the hosts were friendly. I would recommend this guest house to anyone! more

We loved this place and will stay there again. Very family friendly. It is on the River Ness, (cute ducks for your kids to feed) near the pedestrian bridge to walk to the train station and the castle. The location and price cannot be beat. We were able to walk everywhere with our two year-old. The host, Richard, is very... more

We spent four fantastic days at Westbourne, Richard & Nan could not do enough for us. The little touches from the homemade shortbread & homebaking made our stay fantastic, the port & sherry nightcap just ended the day perfectly. We will definatly return. more

Spent 4 days in Inverness at Westbourne. The house is exceptionally clean and has an exellent location. Walking distance to Church st. and all the shopping. Located right on the Ness River. Parking was right out in front on the street. They provide a parking pass so it's free. In the guest lounge, there is a computer with internet access,... more

If you are looking for reasonably-priced accomodation in a great location (right on the river), consider Westbourne Guest House. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in June, 2004, and found the owners to be extremely accomodating, friendly, and knowledgable about Inverness and the surrounding area. We had two different rooms when we were there because we had a... more
