Got my room through Expedia for a song, which compensated for most of its shortcomings. We booked a double room for our overnight stay as part of our 2 day highland tour. The room was small and we couldn't find proper space to put our luggage and open it. We felt the bathroom did not have proper exhaust or ventilation. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. But nothing great to say... More

Didn't stay but 5 of us had lunch. Two had toasted sandwiches made from very old/stale toast perhaps left from breakfast. The contents were not wholly as described either. Other dishes mor edible but all grissly overpriced. Won't be back.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is a little out of town but still within easy walking distance of the shopping area. There was ample parking. We recently made the very wise decision to sign up for membership at the Thistle (Otium), having become very unhappy with a similar arrangement at the Kingsmills Hotel. Stayed at the Thistle hotel last week for 2nights along with 3 other couples..Rooms clean and staff friendly.Breakfasts excellent,very fresh and well cooked.Hotel situated approx 1 mile from city centre ,we often walked there and back although taxis plentiful and reasonable.Would definately stay here again.Lovely pool area and spotless too.

We booked a weekend trip with our friends, on arrival there was a slight problem but Coleen handled everything beautifully, she was on the reception desk and was calm,professional, and a credit to this hotel.
