The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and relaxing and we had a good nights sleep even though the house is very near the A9 there was no noise, and the house was full that night and we weren't disturbed by other guests. The breakfast was superb and was personalised by us being able to choose... More

We spent just one night but really enjoyed it. The couple who run this B&B take care of all the little details very well. They also run an antique store, one of the only in the region, so every bare spot in every room has something. My wife thought it was a little too much, but I enjoyed the selection,... More

Spent a long weekend at torguish, we all had a wonderful time. Everyone there made us feel very welcome and they had lots of ideas about what to do. The rooms are excellent and the service was top notch. I highly recommend this B&B for a stay in the highlands of Scotland. The very friendly and relaxed atmosphere added enormously... More

We have just spent 3 excellent days in an amazing house in an amazing location. The welcome could not have been warmer the food very tasty and more than ample (in my opinion the best porridge in Scotland). We had a very comfortable 4 poster bed so restful sleep after touring the wonderful area within reach of here, I could... More

Working away from home is never good. But when your hosts make you as welcome and comfortable as they did it makes the whole staying away from home experience so much better. The food was great I will definitely be going back in the future. I will recommend to friends and family.

Who wants a corporate and conveyor belt experience!? All the chains predict and control consumer behaviour - it is souless; predictable and samey - not so with Torguish - amazing location; lovely family b&b, surprising and fantastic attention to detail and decor (but in a very gothic, interesting and not trying to hard way) - would recommend to anyone who... Lovely room. House full of character and crammed full of quirky antiques. Spent a fun hour rummaging through the antique shop after we checked out. Tasty breakfast and friendly hosts who obviously enjoy both collecting and welcoming visitors into their home.

My parents from India, who are visiting the UK have stayed here for 2 nights in their Scottish Highlands tour and rate this as the best of all places they have stayed at, all tour. The place is full of character, and the hosts could not be more hospitable. The Location is far enough and near enough to Inverness. (Other... More

Mike and Angie treated me like one of their own. I was made a cup of tea and offered cake no sooner had I sat my bahookie on the chair after a long day in the hills. Warm, funny folk who looked after me. Without word of a lie, I had one of the best nights of sleep in my... More

This trip was to celebrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. I had booked it because the old stone building showed so much character and fitted in to our criteria for a hotel/Bed & breakfast, we have got into not visiting glam and glitzy hotels. It is very easy to find just as long as you don't pay to much attention to... More
