Got sent here when the nearby Heathmount screwed up our reservation. Stayed only one night. Free parking, good staff, good breakfast. Room fairly drab, queen sized bed was two twins pulled together. Not bad, but nothing to praise, either. more

this hotel was vasty substandard. We had origionaly intended to stay at the Columba hotel as it had been a nice experience previously, but was convinced to try this one due to the pool and better customer rating. A BIG mistake. In general the hotel is shabby, badly worn carpets and drapes (who knows how many years old), which didn;t... more
Having checked the web site and Travel Advisor for this hotel, our party of four were very disappointed. The de luxe rooms were of reasonable size with appropriate facilities including a good sized bed, but they were drab and dated and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom for example had an avocado suite dating it to the mid 80's with... more
We stayed at the Craigmonie Hotel from Mon 7th May for 3 nights on an Easybreak holiday and found it to be great value for money although the room was a wee bit tired the hotel staff more than made up for this. The food and presentation of food was wonderful and the leisure facilities very enjoyable. We will use... more
My husband and I had a very good stay on the night of 30th April. We booked the hotel BEFORE we read Tripadvisors reviews so you can imagine how we were dreading our stay after seeing your website!! Many of the comments we read are actually most unfair. Our room was furnished with very comfortable new beds with excellent mattresses... more
Don't bother, unless you're a working bloke looking for somewhere to stay the night (and someone else is paying!). Drab, dark and dull. Rooms are tiny. I had two and gave up complaining after the second proved to have been previously host to someone smoking yak hair (or something like that) . Staff are WONDERFUL. Can't fault them, they were... more
The Craigmonie has an excellent location just outside the city centre and a nice pool/spa area. On the other hand, the decor in the rooms and bathrooms is very 70s, and the public areas such as the bar are pretty tired too. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. I wouldn't plan a romantic weekend here, but it's fine for... more
I stayed at the Graigmonie at the weekend and was excited when i heard that there was a swimming pool, sauna etc.... When i got there the entrance is very grand and feels like a proper highlands hotel - all wood panneling etc... When we got up to the room, however, we found a very dated decorated room which was... more
First time visit to Scotland was made a dream by this hotel, myself and girlfriend booked this hotel on a spur of the moment and were delighted with the result. Reviews gave mixed results but after staying we would recommend it to anyone... The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, especially breakfast and bar staff who made... more
We stayed at the Swallow Craigmonie for two nights and there were some concerns. The rooms were very small and two looked at walls. They advertise Wi-Fi but we had to be moved three times to get one with even a signal. Only acceptable signal was in the lobby. Front desk was superb. more
