Dreadful stay! The restaurant in particular was terrible with surly staff and cold meals. They cater mostly for coach groups so unless you're on a coach trip, don't go. Beware this hotel overbooks. We were moved to the Thistle hotel, which is an ugly 1970's hotel on the outskirts of the city. Given 1 days notice after having a confirmed booking for 3 months. No compensation. Very disappointing start to our holiday. more

Recently refurbished, the Swallow Columba is a comfortable and economical place to stay in Inverness. I got a great rate on the Swallow website - £110 for two nights, which was much cheaper than anything offered by the discount travel websites, so I'd recommend visiting the Swallow site before booking.
