We've been visiting Acorn House for years. We're never disappointed. Dougie and his wife are very friendly. The rooms are always lovely and clean. Breakfasts are great. There is off-street parking and it's about a 10-15 minute walk (over the river) into the town (sorry city!) centre. Still getting used to it being a city. more

Hosts very homely, never before have we been to a B&B with: toothbrush/paste, sewing kit, razors, shoe shine etc., in room. The house was spotlessly clean, nice sized en-suite, very comfortable beds, great breakfast selection. Wrote down breakfast list the evening before. Parking accomodation was handy. Both myself and my husband were going to the Rockness festival and booked this B&B rather than camping and it was exactly what we wanted.
