We visited the Lodges in Feb 2012. We came for skiing, however, the weather was mild and most of the snow had melted on Ben Nevis (Ben Nevis skiing does not seem very good for beginners in any case). This did not ruin our holiday, as there were plenty of other things to do (especially great walks). The lodges are... More

Having read all the other reviews for these lodges there is nothing I can add except to endorse the statements already made. A beautiful quiet place amid outstanding natural beauty Ski areas accessable at the Nevis range and at Glencoe Very comfortable lodges where nothing is too much trouble - I was even provided with a special dish so I... WE have been back to Lochaber Lodges for 3 years running now. Frank is really great and more than helpful, always making our stay pleasant. The lodges are modern, clean and spacious with everything you could need. We ski on the Nevis Range which is good when the weather permits! We have also been rock climbing and on scenic walks. We travelled here as a family of 2 adults and 4 children (ages 6, 8, 11, 13). The views upon approach down the winding country roads were fantastic, on arrival at the lodges they were ideally situated on the banks of the canal with amazing views of Ben Nevis. We received a warm welcome from Frank and Malcom who were... More

The lodges are very good standard, amazing views everywhere and although there are more lodges than I had thought, every lodge has its own space and you don't feel crowded at all. They also get very toasty! We were a little worried about being too cold, but there wasn't a problem inside the lodges! They're very well equipt and the... More

Excellent accommodation in a stunning setting. Very clean, warm and comfortable. The decking was excellent for dining, relaxing and watching the boats on the canal and the people on the canal tow path running, cycling and walking. Very peaceful but interesting too. Also ideal to sit outside and view the stars as there is very little light pollution. The rural... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodges. The accommodation is wonderful with every modern convenience available in a country setting. It is peaceful and picturesque while being only a few minutes drive from dozens of restaurants and all the sights of the area. Ideal for tourists. The hosts have managed a perfect balance of being extremely helpful and friendly,... More

We were 4 adults traveling on vacation and used this a base for exploring the highlands and the islands. The location and views are stunning with the canal and mountains in front of you. The lodges were well equipped, well maintained. All the amenities you could want. Frank and Ellen, the managers were very, very hospitable, willing to help in... More

The lodges are in a stunning setting, a stones throw from the Caledonian Canal and has the Nevis Range as its back drop. Fascinating watching the Boats go past and the Weather pass over Ben Nevis. Used it as a base to tour about with so much within driving range your spoiled for choice really. Cant fault it at all,... More
