Four of us had a meal there one evening that was a poor experience. My food was cold and had to be re-heated and the service took a long time and was also rather poor. The only saving grace was the beer that was good! The attitude of the landlord was appalling when I tried to tell him my views... More

We were a group of five walking the West Highland Way, I was the driver, we had visited five previous Inns, hotels and a B&B where we were all treated with respect and courtesy until we met the Landlord From Hell, a very cheeky wee man who should not be in the hotel business or the service industry. We arrived... More

We visit The Stronlossit as often as possible. The food is great, the welcome as warm as the open fire and there's always an excellent selection of well kept ales and quality whisky available. The owners (Sandra and Maurice) have always been very friendly and accommodating, they helped us arrange surprise flowers when our relatives stayed with them and gave... More

Stayed here in February for our annual Scottish winter hillwalking trip. Although I've eaten and drunk here many times before I'd never actually stayed in the hotel. We were glad we did - the rooms were clean and quiet, the breakfast hearty, and the owners very understanding and helpful about the wet boots and waterproof clothing we deposited with them... More

We stopped at this Inn on our way to Skye for lunch with our 2 year old son. After several hours in the car we were all hungry and thought it looked like a nice place to stop. While my husband and I looked through the menu I started to give our son a packed lunch - something I quite... More

My wife and I stop here from time to time for an evening meal, en-route for our home in NW Scotland. The welcome is generally good, as is the service, but at times can be rather slow. The range of food is reasonable, although I would not describe the menu as exciting. The servings generous and the quality very acceptable.... More

We were travelling from Skye to Perth, and made a welcome break for tea and comfort. The staff were welcoming, and we enjoyed our pot of tea for two. The hotel furnishings were good, and toilets clean. Adequate parking, and convient stopping place.

After 4 hours of driving both my wife & me desperate for a pee, we stopped here! House of Bruar was to busy and everything after that closed till this place. Food was great value, staff very friendly and portions huge! If you heading up to Skye or the Kyle of Lochalsh ideal spot to eat & have a pee!... More

The best you can say about this hotel is that it's adequate. If you have a choice don't eat there, though. They don't appear to have a proper chef and the quality of food is very poor. They use the cheapest tea and instant coffee, they don't offer any fresh - or even tinned - fruit at breakfast, and they... More

Really would give a big fat 0 for this place and would not recommend it to anyone. Disgusted by the whole place, management very unpleasant. Only interested in making money and not giving good service. Defo not going back there.
