This is the 2nd time i have stayed at this hotel, and i've got to say it it is 1 of the friendliest hotels i have had the pleasure of staying at on my many travels.. Rooms are both clean and well equipped, you get good value ,again on both the drinks and the meals and a few selection to... more

The Stronlossit was recommended to me by a colleague but I was wary after reading the reviews. Still I went for it and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped. The hotel has free wi-fi which you pay for in a lot of other hotels. Dinner was great and enjoyed... more

I used the Stronlossit Inn during a week’s holiday in the Highlands. I can honestly say I enjoyed the atmosphere, particularly the excellent real ales and good selection of whiskies. We ate there on two occasions and enjoyed the meals. I don’t understand why people are posting negative reviews about this establishment. I suppose it the ‘pareto effect’, i.e. 20%... more

Please if anyone has kids or wants their trip to Scotland not to be ruined do not stay at this hotel or go near it. After a long drive up from Dunkeld we stopped for tea it was all ok until we brought our children in. Our 2 year old was told to get his feet down off the seats... more

We went to this hotel for an evening meal whilst staying at a local campsite, but were very disappointed with the food. The menu looked really promising, and at restaurant prices of about £10 + for a main meal, I was expecting a lot better than what I got, which was basically a microwave meal. I ordered a steak and... more

We (3 of us) ate in the restaurant and the tall young male waiter was extremely pleasant, sadly that's the only redeeming feature of a pretty awful experience. The Salmon was inedible, my bass looked under-size and the tail had been torn-off. It was swimming in water and had no hint whatsoever of the supposed Ginger accompaniment. We complained to... more

Stayed in Roybridge on July 10-11. Booked 4 rooms for 5 people at Stronlossit Inn through the internet, had a most terrible experience there. When we arrived the host had had one whisky too many and instead of 4 rooms he was offering only three instead of the booking confirmation. he also said that if we choose to be awkward... more

Dropped in here after a meeting in Fort William - owner on desk ignored me! The older lady (Mrs Owner I suspect) in the bar ignored me too until I said hello to her. She was pleasant enough but her hands were flithy - inground dirt and dirt under nails. In stark comparison the young chap who served me my... more

But my experience at this hotel was fantastic. Both myself and my 12 friends agreed that this was the best place we had stayed at on our annual "Highland Fling" tours... and we are a fussy bunch! The welcome was warm! Morris & Sandra were the perfect hosts as were their staff, nothing was ever too much trouble! The rooms... more
