Stayed in this hotel when I took my partner our 9 year old boy and our two Westies for an impromptu weekend away. We arrived on their opening weekend (closes over winter) so the hotel was very quiet. The owners and their sons made us most welcome and the two young lads even treated us to a bit of live... more

Stayed at the Prince's House for two nights recently with a couple of friends, we planned to do some hiking in the area. Warm welcome, cosy rooms and great food. Kieron (co-owner with Ina) is a talented chef. Presentation, quality and flavour of our meals were excellent. Compares very favourably with meals enjoyed at many 5 star hotels. more

Had a bar meal that featured great sea bass dinner, lots of fresh vegetables and some smelly but good mussels. Another customer played banjo and the atmosphere was down-to-earth and very warm and friendly. Service was slow but never felt ignored, just part of a general leisurely pace. Had a local Tayberry ale and some fine desserts. more

We have just stayed two nights at the Prince's House, and would be quite happy to return. The welcome throughout our stay by Ina, her family and staff was great. The setting is gorgeous. Though the rooms are perhaps a little small, they are clean and well appointed. The food is superb, and warrants the highest of accolades. Though a... more

Chosen on the basis of previous reviews and not disappointed. Single room was small but warm and comfortable and even though it was on the road side was quiet enough to sleep undisturbed. The food was excellent and the hardest choice was whether or not to dine in the restaurant or the bar - both menus very good and very... more

This little husband and wife owned hotel is rated 2 stars by the AA and 3 by the Scottish Tourist Board. Were there star ratings for friendliness, Ina would be awarded 6. Keiron already has a well-deserved 2 rosette award for his cooking. Mine was a brief stay of one night, the first I had spent in a single room... more

We received a warm welcome before we had even entered the building! Ina made us feel very welcome and called us by our christian names which created a very comfortable and informal atmosphere. We had booked the Stewart Room which was just perfect. It was traditionally styled and had all the mod cons you would expect. Although I had ordered... more

A truly wonderful place we called home for four days - Hosts Ian and Kieron Kelly make you feel like part of the family and their sons will entertain you musically!! Great location to base yourself as you sight see around this beautiful part of Scotland. Food, wine company could not fault - thank you so much Ina and Kieron more

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at The Prince's House. The first was our honeymoon in May 2006 and we've loved it ever since. Ina and Kieron are both lovely people and between them they really make every stay a joy. We go to Scotland to relax and enjoy good walks, good food and wine,... more

I stayed four nights at this hotel and can recommend it in every way. The room was clean and decorated with excellent taste, the bar has great food and atmosphere, and the breakfast was consistently perfect. Also, the location has amazing scenery from the hotel and within just a few minutes walk there are several hiking areas that go through... more
