Myself and 6 other volunteers came along with 12 adults with learning disabilities for a weekend break. The entertainment on Friday night was very good, but Saturday night was appalling. I t was a night with Carl Wilson, entertainer with a kilt on. I have never experienced a more arrogant , ignorant and very rude man towards people with learning disabilities... more

An excellent 5 day break in this superb Shearings Hotel, located along the shores of Loch Linnhe, two miles from Fort William. The room which was tastefully decorated and furnished had a marvellous view (for which there was a supplement) and there was adequate storage space - the bathroom was clean, tiled and had a white suite. Food was good,... more

My son and I travelled to the Caledonian by car and had a lovely stay, even though he is just 14 years old. This hotel caters for the more mature guest I would say. The service was excellent and the food was great. The hotel was clean and the facilities were faultless, apart from a damp smell in our room... more

Stayed here for 3 days. The rooms were clean and as comfortable as any hotel rooms. The furnishings matched and there were a few nice paintings on the walls. The Hotel is on the loch front and the views are lovely. It is a bit away from the town centre but there are buses. This is a 2 star hotel... more

A splendid setting and a great hotel. Book a room with a view to take advantage of the fine location. The snow capped hills look magnificent (Feb) Large restaurant, great service, wonderful food, and very friendly staff. Great home-made soups, good breakfasts and plenty to eat. Drinks are not too expensive either.( A pint and glass wine £5.35) A healthy... more

I wasn’t expecting too much from this hotel, so I suppose you could say my expectations were met. I stayed here for two nights with my folks as part of trip around Fort William and the surrounding area. The hotel doesn’t look very exciting on the outside, and the inside wasn’t very inspiring. The receptionist was very friendly and very... more

Stayed for a long weekend at this hotel which was excellent in every way. The staff were very pleasant and polite, the food was delicious, the view was spectacular and the hotel was immaculate. The bedroom was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We will certainly return for another visit. more
