Excellent place to stay. Good atmosphere, the Staff were pleasant made us feel welcome nothing was to much of a bother. Room was clean and pleasant. Although our room did not over look Ben Nevis we still had a view of the hills behind. Ideal location for touring, relaxing and for those who wish a little more adventure. And its... More

Lovely room, view of Neptune's staircase from the window. Restaurant food was fabulous, and so was the bar food! Service was brilliant. Lovely hotel would recommend and would most certainly go again. More

We stayed last August for two nights the room was one of the best we have ever stayed in, and we only go to Scotland for the past 10-12 years. We usually tour and finish at the Edinburgh Festival. We like the Bruntsfield in Edinburgh, we have also stayed in and around Fort William many times, We certainly hope to... More

Hi All, Just got back from a short break at the Moorings Hotel and thought I would give a little review.Firstly arrived late Saturday afternoon and checked in and was quickly shown to our spacious room. Everything was fine and had a very large comfortable bed which was great as I've stayed in some other nice hotels that were let... More

Stayed October 6 & 7. Stewart - restaurant manager always pleasant, very professional and made our dinning experience exceptional. Front desk were friendly and provided excellent service. One of our most memorable stays in Scotland. Would most definitely return and recommend the Moorings. More

Good hotel, friendly staff, with excellent location right on the Caledonian Cannal locks (Neptunes Ladder) just north of Fort William. Only niggle was having to pay £7 for our dog to stay overnight and she didn't even get breakfast! Book through an agent as the hotel direct deals don't compare. More

The Moorings was recommended by friends who had dined there once but we opted to stay the night after a "magical" trip on the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig and back. Our friends were right this is everything a Scottish holiday hotel should be, warm and welcoming with spacious bedrooms and an excellent restaurant where you looked... More

We have mixed views on The Moorings. On our first night we couldn't fault the friendly staff in the bar, the faultless service and the delicious meal. We did think the room was a little on the small side for the price but it was spotless with some nice touches - especially the bits and peices in the bathroom. Unfortunately,... More
