Just celebrated our daughters wedding at this fabulous hotel. It surely must be one of the best hotel settings in Scotland. This hotel is just lovely. Obviously, the setting is stunning but the whole ambience of the place makes you feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you arrive. Very traditional, almost old fashioned and will need to have some substantial refurbishment fairly soon. But: lovely setting, good food, friendly and hard working staff. Our room was disappointing, dark, although quite spacious and mattresses/twin beds would have been decrepit in the 1980's. We didn't get much sleep. more
