We drove past this B&B, saw the sign and called in. The lady owner was very obliging and offered to show me the room before I made up my mind (which is a good sign). The room was spacious, clean and well appointed; and the price was reasonable. What really impressed us was the nice breakfast room; in particular the fact that they had cloth napkins (rather than paper) - this was the only time we came across this extra touch in six weeks of driving around the UK. The next excellent point was the mushrooms with the breakfast - they tasted like field mushrooms (not like the usual cardboard variety) and when I asked the owner, she confirmed they were indeed field collected mushrooms. The other interesting thing was that on the menu, the owners invited us to feed the cattle any left over toast - which we did out the back; it was great to experience these hairy highland cattle up close and eating from our hands. Overall, really liked this B&B and would definitely stay there... more
