With so many places to visit for the avid climber, and historic sights to see for the true tourist, it's nice to know you can relax at Alt-An-Lodge at the end of the day. Exquisite and homely..Margaret and Trevor are lovely and so very helpful..The food was excellent as were the magnificent views of the Loch from our bedroom window...despite the rain..the sunset over the mountains was beautiful...Crofters pub do a fab home-made soup and several traditional meals...and Ben Nevis...is a must!! Will definitely go back and visit Margaret and Trevor next year more

My wife and I stayed 1 night here. This B+B has fantastic views over the Lough and is probaly the best feature. The room was small, but adequate, however, the worst feature was the shower and toilet which are in 2 separate little (and I mean little) cubicles. This is a lovely little B & B on the southern road into Fort William. It's got great views out onto the Loch, although it's slightly out of town. The rooms are a little old fashioned (not that that's a problem) but the breakfast was great, and the rates reasonable. more

Alt-an is a great little B'n'B on the outskirts of Fort William. My girlfriend and I stayed there for 4 nights over the Easter break. It makes a great base for exploring the highlands. Margaret was an excellent host and cooks a mean breakfast in the morning! more
