The Glenshian B&B is clean, newly and tastefully decorated and very quiet. The owner offered us a cuppa/coffee and home-made biscuits every afternoon on our return which was a lovely touch. The breakfast room has a spectacular view of Ben Nevis, overlooks the canal (it's at the top of the locks of Neptune’s Staircase) and has a very well-kept and... More

Hi to you both. Thanks for the review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do try our best to provide good food and welcome people to try things. There is still plenty to do in the area. So if your friends stay again you can always come and stay with us. Regards Glenys and Iain. More

We are just back home after spending a wonderful May Weekend at the Glenshian Guesthouse. What a friendly place. To be greeted at the door on arrival with the offer of a cup of tea did get the visit off to a good start. The room was first class and the breakfasts were well presented and tasted magic. I would... Hi to you both, Thank you for writing your review. It is very much appreciated. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Perhaps the next time you will be able to have a meal at Corrour Station. Never mind you enjoyed your picnic by the Loch. Regards Glenys and Iain More

Great place to stay. Room with en suite was perfect. We stayed on 12th may as we started to kayak the great glen. The kayaks could be stored in the garden overnight and then launched easily next morning as the canal is just a few metres away. The owners were very kind and helpful when we had to change our... Leanne and I stayed here last weekend and we had such a lovely time. Our hosts were ever-so friendly and always had a nice hot brew waiting for us after our mountain walks in the heavy rain. Full of advice on where to visit in the area and where to head out for food, we couldn't have asked for nicer... More

Hi to you both, Thanks for writing your review and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. It is good to be back in our home after the traumatic experience of the excessive water damage and re-furnbishment of the house. We hope you will come back and be able to walk Ben Nevis next time. Until then. Regards... More

Chose this B&B due the consistency of other traveller's comments plus, Glenshian House was an excellent base for our trip out to Corrour Station restaurant (see our review on this), being close to Banavie Train Station. Beautifully situated with Ben Nevis to the rear of the property plus, the added bonus of walking out to Neptune's Staircase and the Canal.... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glenshian House and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone traveling in Scotland. If you enjoy birding, this is the place to see many birds in the extensive back-yard feeders and to get information on the best birding hot-spots in the area. The accommodations and breakfast were wonderful, and the proprietors... More

We choose the Glenshian in part for the location, which is right on the Caledonian Canal, and a little bit outside of Fort William. As we had rented a car for our week in Scotland, we took the opportunity to stay somewhere that was a little off the beaten path. Directions were good, we had no problem finding the B&B... More

Glenys and Ian are the perfect hosts. Coffee and biscuits on arrival as always and a fantastic breakfast. Lost count of the number of times we've stayed at Glenshian now. The view is awesome! The rooms are very comfortable and the guests lounge and conservatory make this home from home.

One of our favorite things about staying in a B&B is getting a much better local feel for an area. That is especially true when you have wonderful hosts like Glenys and Iain. The bedrooms were nicely set up and comfortable. The breakfast room was fantastic as it looked over the garden down to the canal and up to the... More
