I stayed a night in the Lochalsh Hotel with my husband. It was fine for just the night but despite a pretty location it was quite run down and had a strange smell. It was not expensive and the nights sleep was okay.

As has been mentioned this hotel is in desperate need of a refurb, but the staff a helpful and welcoming, rooms a decent size, prices okay (after negotiation) and views stunning. The lochalsh hotel is not good. In fact, it's aweful. It's only redeeming feature is the view and location. Everything about the hotel needs updating.
