Had smallish single room for £50 B&B. Value just about OK. Room OK - nothing special & had seen better days e.g. top layer peeling from composite wardrobe base & window latch broken. En suite shower room OK. Had bar meal which was OK - nothing special but not expensive. Bar not for those who like a quiet drink &... more

My girlfriend and I used this hotel as a base to explore Skye and the surrounding areas. The hotel was basic but then again we only arrived at 8pm each night and left early in the morning so for that the hotel was fine. The breakfasts were good if somewhat limited but they set us up for our days travels.... more

As a base to explore the West Coast and Skye this was a fine hotel - The Kyle of Lochalsh is a strange place as it is really somewhere for people who want to be somewhere else and as a first timer to the area it was fine - like a Travel Inn type place with a pub attached (I... more

No warmth of welcome. Basic rooms. Uncaring staff who showed no concern that one couple could not occupy a room that reeked of tobacco smoke and moved to another hotel. Another couple had to occupy a room which was dark and cold (heating broken) It was a take it or leave it attitude. Some of our party mentioned mould in... more

We stayed for one night in this over priced hotel. We paid £115 for bed, breakfast and dinner. The dinner was a set menu of £20 each, which means we paid £75 for the bed and breakfast. The meals were mediocre at best. Our room was on the ground floor and was very noisy. We could hear people coming and... more

I am sorry that you did not find that the Hotel met with your expectations, and also that you did not bring to either my attention or a member of the team your observations so that we could have dealt with some of the matters at the time and made your stay more acceptable. It was Easter Sunday and the...

We booked this hotel on a 2 nights DBB special offer, and later checked reviews on tripadvisor. , I told my partner that , if the hotel was as bad as the reviews, I would be trying to find another - even though we had already paid. We were very pleasantly surprised! On arrival, we asked if we could leave... more

Paper thin walls, not enough room to swing a cat and the rooms whilst not dirty were well used, we will say. Food was fine and staff were nice people. The dining room sits people very close and there was no music as background, so quite a weird atmosphere. Kyle itself has clearly seen better days. I am not sure... more

The Kyle Hotel has been around since 1700 and historically has been of great importance to this remote part of Scotland. It has expanded and developed with the growth in population and visitors over the years; a blend of old and modern. The bedrooms in the extension were refurbished using traditional wooden furniture and are of normal size found in...

I spent one night there with my boyfriend. The "deluxe room" is small, noisy, the spa-bath is terrible and ths sky TV is inexistent. View from the room is over the street, everybody can see you and you always have to shut the windows (and curtains). The restaurant is ok. I spent one night to the lochalsh hotel, which is... more

This hotel was ok, very welcoming, very helpful staff. The room on the other hand, had a very strong mildew or mold smell and was very old and worn and I caught a few insects in the room and did wake up with bites or a rash from something there. more
