We stayed at the Newton recently for a wedding. The room was lovely and spacious with a huge bed and a wonderful power shower. The public areas were all tastefully decorated and the bar and waiting staff were great. Didn't find the reception staff quite as good. Having booked a two night stay at this supposed 4-star hotel we arrived to check in to be rudely, rather than apologetically, told that our booking had been changed to just one night leaving us without accommodation. The staff were rude throughout which detracted from the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately customer service was not their highest priority, I can only hope... more

As soon as we arrived we were impressed with the hotel, we had a lovely room, with optional under floor heating! lovely clean and tidy with everything we needed all modern too. for a four star hotel this place was very disappointing.from windows that you couldn't close,to tatty scuff stained bedroom walls.the breakfast service was as times comically bad.nice location though. more
