Rooms were okay but nothing special. The bed was a bit small but rooms were clean and you had all you need. It was close to the centre, about 10 min walk. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I have asked my PA to book me into the no.1 hotel in Elgin, according to tripadvisor, and I found out that it was not a hotel! Nice guest house, but many features & service of a hotel were missing. It might be the no.1 guest house, but definitely not a hotel. Very disappointed! more
I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. I do not know of any website or advertising that we have, that states we are anything else other than a guest house. If there is please let us know so we can rectify it.
We are going back in May,we went last year cannot fault it better than a 4 star hotel,everything perfect can't wait,hospitality at its best Could recomend to anyone for a excellent stay Mr and Mrs Lawler. Yorkshire. more
Walking into West End Guest house was just so welcoming. Carol and Jim were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We go to Elgin quite a lot but this was our first time in a B & B. I found this on the internet and after speaking to Carol on the telephone i knew we were more than welcome.... more
If anyone is thinking about opening up a B&B, I would recommend you go and stay at West End B&B to see how it should be done. We were so impressed with the service we got at the great little B&B. Having stayed at this hotel, i found a ver warm welcome on arrival, the hostess Carol Watt had the biggest smile and warmest heart. My room was in pristine condition and immaculately clean. Stayed here in july for two nights. Comfortable very clean room with en-suite and great breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back. more
My husband and I spent 1 night here in November and had a nice enough stay. The proprietors were helpful, there's private parking which was essential for us and the breakfast was great - lots of choice and plenty of it. There are a few restaurants within a 10 minute walk, and the old part of town is within walking... more
