Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here 03/03/24. Room was spotless, modern and comfortable with everything we needed. Owners were so accommodating, even sourced me a phone charger that I stupidly forgot. Thought the Honesty Bar was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Sorry about the almost empty pizza box left in room!!! Many thanks.

This is a beautifully restored home, immaculately clean and absolutely charming. The photos do not do it justice. James and Diane are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are superb and mighty in size (not included in nightly rate but worth the extra). I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning next year.

Having stayed here a number of times I often wondered could James, his mum and the staff maintain their very high standards. Well the answer is yes. The bedrooms are of a high standard, the beds lovely and comfy with lovely soft towels. The lounge is fantastically decorated and the furniture of a high quality.. James will do his very best to accommodate your needs and is easily contactable should you arrive late etc. There is a great choice for breakfast with the full English being a challenge as there's so much, it is very high quality. Can't say enough about the place well done guys.

This is the best guest house we have ever stayed in and I don't say this lightly. Lovely building with high quality furnishings. A comfortable large lounge has an honesty bar. Our room was tastefully decorated and had a lovely shower room. Everywhere is scrupulously clean with additional touches of sweets and shortbread with bottled water. The breakfast menu is quite simply superb! Fantastic range of high quality produce. Nothing was too much trouble for Diana or Alison. The 4 year old member of our party loves eggs for breakfast! On day one, Hugo had 5 fried eggs! The next day they were ready for him to his delight! What a team! We will all definitely return to experience such fantastic service.

Can only repeat what many others have said about this place. We stay here when visiting friends and it’s just perfect in every way. Lovely lounge to sit and have a drink with a honesty bar and the rooms are clean spacious and makes you feel at home. Diane James and Alison make you feel so welcome and the breakfast is just the best ever. Thanks to you all for another wonderful stay and see you next time. Ian & Mandy
