I stayed at the Ardeonaig Hotel with a group of friends and have to say it is the bizarrest hospitality experience I have ever had. I say hospitality, but I don't think the owner/chef understands the meaning of the word as he seems to run this hotel like a cross between a school for delinquents and one big money making... more

Several friends had highly recommended Ardeonaig and we’re more than grateful to them. My wife and I treated ourselves to a stay there in June, we opted for one of the five Rondawels, no regrets there whatsoever – located in the grounds below the hotel next to the burn running into Loch Tay they’re a only a short walk away... more

Just came back after my seventh stay in this wonderful hotel, cant understand for a moment these comments. Every single time the staff and Pete himself have been exceptional, the food is by far the best I have ever had and I have been fortunate in some of the hotels around the world. Please dont let these comments put you... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights before it was refurbished. I find it difficult to understand some of the negative reviews - what were people expecting, it's perfectly clear what the restaurant and hotel are about. The food and service were top class, and whilst the bedroom was only okay it's apparent that... more

We had seen an article in a magazine and thought we would go and stay - how thankful I am we looked at Trip Advisor first! We booked into our old faithful - Monachyle Mhor, Balquidder (fantastic - don't miss!) and decided, out of complete intrique, that we would drive up and have a look at the hotel and see... more

I stayed at this hotel with 8 girlfriends for my 40th birthday. From the outset when I was booking, the hotel were abrupt and unhelpful but I tried to ignore this and assumed it was just the way the emails came across. I should have read your reviews. I can only endorse the other negative reviews - we asked for... more

From other recent reviews I approached this hotel with trepidation. Booked it because I couldn't get into Monachyle Mhor. On arrival we were taken round the hotel, including the kitchen, so we were imagining this was to give time to remove the remains of a deceased guest from our room. Reviews have highlighted the rudeness of staff, and I deplore... more

I stayed at this hotel with a group of professional women to celebrate a birthday. From the first encounter to the last we were patronised and treated quite rudely. The junior staff were mostly friendly and helpful but the senior staff watched our every move. We were even told not to drink too much before our meal so as not... more

Having just returned from a wedding at this hotel I feel I have to write a review which sadly agrees with all your previous negative reviews. I count myself fortunate in not having met the owner in person , obviously his staff are terrified of him which unfortunately results in them being completely inflexible towards any request made by the... more

I suppose driving along the 7 mile route from Killin, which is very dangerous, got us off to a bad start. We were very disappointed overall. To begin with the young porter couldnt find our room probably because it was so tiny. I guess there was about 18" round the bed (which admittedly was comfortable). The 'wardrobe' was about the... more
