My wife and I stayed for 3 nights after Easter having travelled up from Edinburgh. The reception area is clean and modern with a bar and the breakfast area. Check in was efficient and the staff very helpful. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The room was spacious enough with a good sized bathroom.... more

We have stayed regularly at Holiday Inn Express, but on this ocassion I was disappointed to find that the bed was less comfortable than other HIEs and the shower grouting really needed bleaching as it was quite mouldy.
