I had a lovely lunch here this week with another couple. Great food, good value and excellent service. The building has character and is very well placed in the town centre and just a short walk from the lovely Tay St and the view of the Tay.

I waited fifteen minutes to check in. Staff unkind. Do not choose the club package(fruit, a small bottle of red and white wine, mineral water, chips maturing in June 2013!), 25 pound down the drain! Hotel not up to the reputation.I will not return

Lovely rambling old hotel with creaky floors and great big room keys. We ate in the ballroom because they are doing up the dining room but it didn't detract from the very good meals. Returned after four nights, our stay was enjoyable The Ballroom for meals was different but made no difference. Staff were excellent. I suppose we will have to return next year to test the big menu. Looking forward to it.
