On arrival we found the accommodation to be poor. Curtains were hanging off the rails, a dirty dishcloth was left at the sink and the fridge was broken. Duty manager came along and tried but failed to sort things. No offer of alternative room, no offer of any discount. Certainly not worth the £200.00 per night for dinner, bed &... more

I have stayed at Murrayshall a few times before for business mainly. This time i took the kids and it was a great decision. The hotel commands a superb location, overlooking Perth and the Grampians. As you drive up the long meandering drive, you just feel a sense of escape! We parked, stepped inside, a big warm smile and Scottish... more

We just had a wonderful night in a junior suite on the Spring Deal @ £80 each DB&B. The service and welcome from all staff was first class (including the lovely black cat at reception). Our suite was spacious and well equipped with lovely views out over the golf course. We had an amazing meal in the great restaurant. Many... more

I was booked into this hotel for a corporate function. As I am recovering from major surgery, I asked if I could have a disabled room. This was a mistake, my room was smaller than the others in our party and next to another function room where the noise kept me awake most of the night. I expected a walk-in... more

We recently got married at Murrayshall and right from booking our date in April 2007, everything went so well for us. Carol in the Sales Office is very efficient and nothing is too big or small for her to deal with. The day before the wedding the hotel entertained about 70 guests and on the day itself we had over... more

I stayed here for a night at the end of April 2008 on business. Hotel The approach to the hotel is amazing. Through the countryside and then up a long semi-steep driveway until you reach the hotel at the top. It’s a very old traditional Scottish brick building – exactly the sort of hotel you’d expect in Scotland! The interior... more

Stayed for a wedding. First off, on booking we were asked for 50% non refundable deposit!! This is a first for us, never had anything like this anywhere else we've stayed!! Any refund in event wedding was called off would be at management discretion - mmm - not a good start! Only special request I made was to ask for... more

Have just returned from another wonderful stay at Murrayshall. My wife and I have not visited the hotel fro a couple of years, but friends of ours in the area had recommended that we make a return visit. The Hotel appointed a new Chef last september, I undrstand he came from another country house property near by, what a triumph... more

My wife and I had a wonderful romantic weekend at Murrayshall. The location is in a beautiful setting with woodland and a golf course. Looking west and north there is a magnificant panorama of the Scottish Highlands which were snow covered. We had a lovely superior room. As other folk suggest the bathroom was a little tired looking but nevertheless... more

Just returned from a two night stay at this overpriced and over rated hotel. Our room was tiny with a view of a wall and next to a loud generator which kept us awake. The wardrobe emitted a very unpleasant smell and we have since had to throw away the clothes we put in there. To top it off, there... more
