We booked a superior room for two nights using the hotel web site. We received a confirmation email. On turning up at the hotel after a 460 mile drive, we discovered there was no booking and the hotel was full. The receptionist did eventually come up with a room, with a promise of a better one the next night. We... More

I use this hotel on a regular basis to accommodate colleagues and visitors to our business in Perth, this is because of personal experience and the request of people we have coming to stay here. We do use other alternatives, The Royal George, The New County and Murrayshall are all more than acceptable, however Parklands has a great location, plenty... More

I've stayed here several times and most recently I met up with a business colleague and we had a terrific supper in the bistro. The food there is local Perthshire produce mainly and cooked in a real bistro style - without fuss, concentrating on flavours. The very stylish recently redesigned lounge and the fine dining restaurant (which is the sister... More

The Parklands came very highly recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there twice previously (within the last 6 months) but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The stairway/landing leading to our room had an unpleasant smell throughout our stay; the floor in our room was so creaky it was almost comical (we're not talking a loose... More

We held a family function at the hotel at the start of September and took 4 rooms for family members. The location was ideal as some people were travelling by train and it is very close. Everyone was very impressed by the hotel , the rooms were modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our dinner in the private dining... More

I have used this hotel for the last 2 years and when I stayed last night had a conversation with Sylwester about the recent reviews on here as he was astounded by them and I felt I had to write a review. I can say that having stayed in most rooms in this hotel including Tay, that all are of... More

We booked this hotel a few months before heading to the Rewind Festival held in Perth in late July, 2011. It wasn't our first choice, but there wasn't a lot of availability due to the popularity of the concert (you might wonder why there were still rooms at The Parklands. . . read on). The non-refundable deposit is irritating, but... More

Firstly, this is not a review it is a comment on out cancellation policy which has been in place for over 8 years. The gentleman did call to cancel his room but he missed the cancellation cut off point by considerably more than 4 hours. He speculates why we had a room available, for which there can be many reasons,... More

As a small business, you can appreciate that we are very interested in feedback and take action where appropriate and possible but are unhappy when someone sets out to damage our business with disinformation on Tripadvisor. This room has existed for 20 years (but was refurbished and newly decorated within the last 5 years). It has wifi, Ipod docking, Flat... More

We stayed here for two nights to attend the Perth Highland Games - which were canceled! The room we were first in was quite noisy - pipes or something gurgling all night plus a very uncomfortable bed. We slept terribly. The staff was very accomdating when we complained and assigned us to a different room the next night (the hotel... More

Thank you for your comments, we have investigated the noise you mentioned and believe any issue on this is now resolved. With regards to the beds, these all have thick mattress toppers and are new to the hotel, sorry you did not find it comfortable. With regards to dining we are very accomodating to all ages and have a children's... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parklands. The food in particular was outstanding which is perhaps no surprise given its association with 63 Tay Street, which we have dined at previously and thought was excellent. The decor in the dining room and reception has seemingly been revamped recently and certainly we thought it was quite delightful. The bedroom was comfortable... More
