We have stayed at this lodge several times now usually at the bargain price of 19-29 quid a night. Welcoming and basic but very comfortable for the price and despite being near a very busy junction it is astonishingly quiet. Have visited this travelodge several times, and up to now had no complaints. Unfortunately this time I feel standards had slipped. Ok the room was cheap for a family of 4, and I realise travelodge are keeping prices low, but to remove hairdryers, shower gel, biscuits etc are slightly annoying, especiallly if you are travelling light for one night. would not stay in this lodge again booked 6th july 2008 for an overnight stay after watching elton jonn concert,arrived at approx 11pm,three adults, one bed not made up,said not their policy to make up third bed,room only catered for two people,eg two towels,reception also seemed to serve as a bar,room grubby and dirty,never again more

We were able to book a family sized room for £19. The room was clean and the amenities were fine. Nothing special, just a good room for a one night stay. There is a Harvester next door where you can get dinner, or the McDonald's across the way. more

Like all Travelodges, not much to expect in the way of ambience. However, it's clean, the welcome was friendly, the room was big and well maintained. Everything worked, and for £19 for the room represented great value - we were only staying over for the night. Pack you own breakfast unless you want to go to the McDo next door... more
