The room and en suite were large and clean. Everything you need. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast and evening meal can be purchased from the restaurant next door. The food was excellent, huge portions at a very reasonable price. Also, large free carpark right outside. more

Have used this hotel on several separate occasions. It's always clean, the showers are great and it's relatively quiet, so you get a good night's sleep. If you book well ahead, you can get rooms from £19 a night, which isn't bad. There's an adjacent restaurant and a Macdonalds on site too. more

Clean, comfortable. Had to wait 10 minutes for reception staff to check us in. Was sitting at entrance on cigarette break. I was ringing the reception throughout. Hope the hotel chain does better. more

Overall, the Salutation gives good value for money. Our room was not plush, but was very pleasant, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice.
