We paid Bed and Breakfast prices for this luxurious Georgian farmhouse which has the most fabulous views over the river Tay and the Carse of Gowrie, looking over to Fife and the mountains beyond. This is now owned and run by Fiona Holmes, who provided us with anything we wanted for breakfast, such as fresh fruit salad, cold meats and cheese, fresh rolls and croissant, or prefectly cooked bacon and eggs with all the trimmings. We also had dinner on a couple of occasions with Scottish smoked salmon starter, and main courses of roast lamb and pheasant casserole.
The guests have their own lounge and in the large dining room the tables look down over the gardens towards the river.
We could come and go as we pleased over the 5 days we stayed there and were always offered a tray of tea or coffee, or a glass of wine whenever we returned from a day out, a trip to Perth, or a walk round the lovely countryside.
This was, for us a memorable holiday.
