We were booked in here for just one night - and wished it had been longer. A very friendly welcome, a lovely room overlooking the garden, and delicious food. The hotel is ideally placed to visit many places of interest round about. We certainly hope to go back. more

Killicrankie House nestles in a lovely wooded valley. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. The food was outstandingly good. The Aberdeen Angus steak was probably the best I have ever tasted. Henrietta, the owner, was always available to help and advise. A bonus for shopaholics - Thre House of Bruar is just... more

My husband and I, along with our children and my husband's parents stayed at the Killiecrankie Hotel purely by accident - the holiday cottage we'd booked was distinctly below par and I phoned on the off-chance that the hotel might have rooms available at short notice. Henrietta, the manager, was unbelievably kind and managed to get us all into the... more

August 2007 Best time at Killiecrankie! We had a family reunion in Scotland, and stayed at various different locations. The highlight, by far, was the Killiecrankie Hotel. New owner Henrietta Fergusson (formerly of the Skibo resort) was incredible. Never before have I stayed at a hotel where the owner was so warm, friendly, and accommodating. My sister-in-law didn’t have a... more

This charming house is where we had part of our family reunion and of our two week European vacation-was the best part of it-without a doubt. The rooms are great size and beautifully kept, they have a fabulous private game room for kids and a cozy bar for the adults. The chef is amazing and every night and morning the... more

My partner booked this hotel as a special birthday treat and getaway for us both. It was a secret from me until the day of my birthday. Our excitement and expectation was quickly dashed on arrival by the owner who first question was any of us smokers and that she had already threatened police for one guest who was caught... more

I disagree with what other reviewers of this hotel had to say. I just returned home this afternoon and am full of praise for the place. My room was spacious, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The only complaint I have to make was that the shower could've been a bit better maintained as it worked adequately, but not 100%. True,... more

Lovely location, stunning views but I completely agree with the other reviewer about the shabby state of the rooms, we paid £250 for dinner bed and breakfast, the only good thing was the meal at night which was excellent. The previous reviewer should be grateful that the owner did not engage them in conversation, she did with us and we... more

My wife and I visited the Killiecrankie Hotel for one night. It is set in beautiful countryside and lovely grounds. The receptionist who welcomed us had very poor English and so we did not find it to be a very good welcome. Our room was very disappointing. Having paid £178 for Dinner Bed and Breakfast, (a reduced rate!) we expected... more
