My room had an enormous patch of black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The carpet was threadbare and filthy. They treated us as if we were second class citizens since we were part of a group. No choice for dinner although there was suppose to be a choice. It was an awful hotel. There is no computer and... more

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in for a very long time. We arrived from Northern Ireland for a wedding, and found that we were unable to check in until 4pm. Returning at 4pm, there was complete chaos at Reception where a coach party had arrived and the hotel staff were quite simply unable to cope. We finally got... more

Stayed in the Fishers for 2 nights. Have been here loads of times before, We were allocated one of the new refurbished rooms. Boy what a difference. It had two double beds, for just two of us. Huge big room flat screen TV and lovely modern bathroom just what was needed. We overlooked the main street - great. All the... more

Unfortunately not all the Hotel is refurbished yet, and the room my wife and I had been in definately needs to be fixed, but don't get me wrong, not because of us staying there! Especiallly the bathroom, loose tiles in the floor and the ceiling was in a very poor shape. The wallpapers in the room itself are partly coming... more

My wife and I took a group of thirty retired people for a five day stay at Fisher's Hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a young receptionist who had come from Australia and been in post for three days. The management were nowhere to be seen until the following night and specialised in making themselves scarce throughout our stay.... more

Having read previous reviews we were dreading finding the hotel's refurbishment was still not complete. It wasn't but the areas that had been opened were spotless and beautifully refurbished. Rooms were fresh, nicely decorated, newly carpeted and furnished but some minor teething problems existed e.g. lack of mirrors, shelves, hooks in some en suite bathrooms. Breakfast was a bit haphazard... more

The room was clean and comfortable although the heater was far too small for the size of the room. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice but I felt that the dinner was very poor in comparison. My stand out memory is of the tropical fish tank in reception which was filthy... more

Great town centre location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room that had only been completed the previous day to a very high standard. Great breakfast but dinner not quite so good - quantity instead of quality! Traditional Highland hotel. more
