The Atholl Arms is a charming, cozy inn in a pastoral setting near Pitlochry. We had a double room that consisted of two twin size beds and a full bath. The room offered TV with a few BBC channels, a coffee/tea service, bathroom amenities and a lovely view of the highlands. One of the interesting things was our "Lazy Lamb",... more

Very comfortable hotel & very grand looking from the outside. Rooms were small but very cosy & comfortable. Lovely tartan bedspread/curtains etc. You can't beat a bit of tartan! Dining room was very grand but we chose to eat in the public bar which was lovely & very busy. Meal was excellent as was the selection of real ales. Four... more

My partner and I stayed here for two nights on a valentines break. We got the last room available which was at the back of the hotel with no view whatsoever - The room was very dark blue Tartan and the bed was uncomfortable all in all the room could do with an overhall. I had little sleep during our... more

Its a Shame, because this could be so much better with not much effort, our two roms were both really dirty, would not dream of having a shower/bath, the bathrooms are really really bad, the outside of our toilet bowl was covered in faeces & bodily fluids from the previous guests, the desk/bedroom furniture were covered in dust and hair... more

The Atholl Arms has provided my fiance and i with one of the most relaxing breaks to date. We spent 2 nights there at £75 per room per night B&B. The room was comfortable and well facilitated. However the most relaxing part was being able to sit in front of the open fire in the main foyer and read a... more

Me and my girlfriend stayed here along with about 40 others for a wedding taking place at Blair Castle in December 07. The hotel is an old place but well kept and traditionally Scottish. There is an open log and coal fire (one of several in the hotel) in reception where you can instantly warm and a bar about 20... more

Beautiful well maintained facility! The staff is helpful and anxious to please. With recently updated rooms we found the hotel to be a wonderful traditional Scottish Hotel. We stayed with a group on nearly 40 persons. Response from the group was "Fantastic Experience!" We worked withHeather one of the facility directors and found her prepared to go beyond the notm... more

We just returned from a week touring Scotland. We stopped off in Blair Atholl on our route to Loch Ness. The area is spectacular and the hotel is great. Blair Atholl is a very small villiage and this was the only hotel we saw. It was only a minute away from Blair Castle which is worth a visit. The dining... more

Receptionist was never there, bar staff - again never there. When the bar staff did arrive to serve you - no conversation, was too busy doing something else in the hotel. Rooms were very clean but no hand towels, I've never stayed in a 3 star hotel which did not supply hand towels in your room. We didn't eat our... more

This huge manor house is budget price but great value ... near pitlochry which is a quaint village, and near the castle of Blair Athol and distillery of the same name. The dining hall, along with the knights armour and weaponry on the walls, services delicious scottish cuisine. Rooms tiny but comfortable and clean. more
