Just back from the Atholl Arms in Blair Atholl having spent three night's over hogmanay in excellent company but more importantly in excellent surroundings. The fire in the Bothy Bar during the day is so welcoming then the meals in the Baronial Hall in the evenings - superb food and excellent friendly service. The traditional scottish dancing leading up to... More

We had our Twixmas break at the Atholl Arms. This was our first venture in a hotel with our 18 month old Springer Spaniel so we were a bit hesitant. On arrival we were told basically the only place he couldn't go into was the dining room which was fine as they advised us we could have our meals in... More

I stayed here over the New Year period and it was brilliant. Staff are excellent and worked tirelessly (and long, long hours) to ensure that everyone was well looked after. Food was amazing and 10/10 for the chefs, whoever they are. I love this place and I'm lucky to live only 90mins away. It really is worth the visit and... More

So pleased to here you enjoyed our traditional hospitality in the Bothy Bar and found the hotel comfortable.People often ask if we have entertainment, we think relaxing in our public areas with a good pint or a nip by far beats loud entertainment.Glad you enjoyed your stay come back and see us soon, More

on arrival (after quite hefty storm ) the staff were extremely helpful although we were informed there was no heat or hot water ... so were shown to our rooms in candlelight . Although the staff without doubt tried to make the most of the unfortunate situation on our return home , we contacted one of the directors who advised... More

Everyone off our staff and the directors were dissapointed and stressed about this situation of no power we had to make the most of it by trying to look after our guests to the best of our ability.A bit of understanding from guests who CHOOSE to stay would have been apprecited and a show of thanks to the extremely hardworking... Hurricane Bawbag was causing devastation throughout Scotland. We had no electricity, hot water ,telephones or heating for four days. After 24 hours and a day of phone calls made outwith the area by the directors to Scottish and Southern Energy they made the decision to install an emergency generator to our property due to the wedding taking place. As we did not want to... We stayed at the Atholl Arms because we had a wonderful experience of it one summer many years ago. This time, the weather was freezing cold, but as soon as we entered the comfortable reception area we felt warm and were made warmly welcome. A wonderful log fire burned in the grate, mulled wine and mince pies were laid on... More

The management has done little to this what can only be described as a few steps above a hovel. The rooms were damp and the toilet had wood cladding on the walls the looked like it had been fitted 30 yrs ago, What a disappointmet as the natural beauty of the countryside should encourage one to want to stay there,... I treat this review as slanderous .Our annual AA inspection on the 20th of December confirms our 3 star rating with a quality of 72%.No where near a "hovel " as quoted. We do not have bathrooms with wood cladding and dampness.I have to question if you actually stayed with us. More

We have just returned (eventually) from a break at this hotel during the storms and snow of last week. Towards the end of our stay there was a power cut and the hotel was without electricity for... More

If you think you're going to get a warm Scottish welcomen at the Atholl Arms Hotel, then think again. The hotel possibly had a shabby make-over in the 70's but other than that it would appear that very little maintenance has been carried out. The owners may argue that the lack of hot water, the damp rooms, the poorly fitted... More

I am sorry you were not happy with our facilities.I find this report totally damaging to our business to call a 3star hotel "a slum" and additional coments you have made, make this review seem vendictive. Our staff are horrified with this review as they work hard to and do create a helpful, friendly cozy atmosphere.
