Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food ok but very expensive, bed comfy, lighting not very good in the room 🤔 and couldn’t even get a bath or shower as there was no hot water… we normally always book this hotel when we have very early flights so we can freshen up 🤬 I will be making a complaint

Stayed here as we had a 6am flight the next morning. The location was amazing, literally crossed the road and we were in the terminal. Staff were so welcoming and pleasant. Room service was so good because we were too tired to sit in the restaurant. The room we had came equipped with coffee, tea and lots of snacks which I thought was a lovely touch! Would definitely stay here again if we had an early flight

One night stay prior to early morning flight. Close to the terminal building just across the road. Hotel is a bit jaded. Staff pleasant enough but service in restaurant was slow. The room was comfortable but cold and the bathroom towel rail didn’t work. The bed was comfy enough and TV was excellent. Iron and board in the room which is a plus.

Arrived to check in and could not get a dinner reservation until 7.30 was able to eat on the bar area but bending down to eat dinner was not the most relaxing experience. Then went to the room - which was basic and dated - bathroom appeared surface clean but looking closer stains on bath panel and door - which could have been wiped - sink grubby and plug grimy looking. Poor sleep pillows hard and bed very soft and we appeared to roll in the middle. Skirtings dusty and edges of capret which was worn - stains on lampshade and dusty also - very basic maintenance of the room and we would have expected better - not a great sleep or best start to day for travel we had the following day. On a plus breakfast was good. Disappointed to say the least

Only reason its getting 2 stars was because of the food. We had an ok evening meal and the breakfast was not to bad. The room itself was dreadful. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a bed of nails. Chipped furniture ripped bedding one of the lampshades was covered in dust and filthy cobwebs on the ceiling. Only 2 sockets but none bedside. They really need to update the rooms. Only booked because of proximity to the airport and i have poor mobility. If you can walk a liitle bit further i would stay in the more up to date express.

We booked two rooms for the night of Saturday 10 February in advance of travelling to Tenerife. On entering both bedrooms they were exceptionally cold, so we attempted to set the heating, dropped off bags at the airport utilising a twilight check-in, used the hotel restaurant and returned to rooms to find they were still cold. Both rooms complained to the front desk as the oil-filled radiators gave off an awful smell, to be advised that there was a problem with the heating in the hotel but not in our rooms - sorry but that was wrong, they were bitterly cold. My wife e-mailed the hotel to complain after we returned to UK and sent a follow-up but as of 1 March she still awaits a response. As a paying guest rooms that are appropriately heated are not desirable they are essential. Rating for both lack of heat in room and lack of e-mail communication is a best 1 star. Please respond to my wife’s e-mails.

Hi CBH1963 Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback from your recent stay at the hotel. I am sorry to read that you found your room to be too cold. I am happy to share that we are currently undergoing phase 2 of our renovation plan which will see our rooms fitted with new air conditioning unit to keep up with the cold Scottish winters and the warm summers that we are experiencing more than ever. I do apologise for the lack of communication on our part, each email is promptly actioned and or transferred to the correct department for further resolution. I would kindly ask for you to contact the hotel directly via phone call so we may investigate the lack of correspondence. We do hope your recent experience does not deter you from staying with us again. Kind Regards, Your Hospitality Service Expert

Friendly enough only got two rating as beds were awful and did not sleep much. The springs in the bed are clearly old so it’s something which needs sorting! Was clean though although service seemed impersonal. Did not eat dinner there at £17.00 for a burger ridiculous

I had the misfortune of being placed in this hotel from a cancelled flight, the rooms on the 5th floor were tired outdated and the first room I was checked into the bathroom was dirty. No excuse for dirty bathrooms, the dinner was mediocre and the breakfast service was awful, no direction for what was on offer not shown to a table, staff miserable and unwelcoming.

Hi Clan007, We are truly sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us after your flights cancellation, I understand this can be a frustrating process. I am happy to see that our reception team apologised for this error and quickly moved your room as this is not the experience we want our guests to have. With regards to breakfast, I can confirm your comments have been passed onto our Food and Beverage manager to investigate. As our breakfast is displayed as a buffet, this allows for each of our guests to freely walk around and see what they may be interested in having along with menus being placed on each table to show what cooked food is on offer. I do hope that your next stay with us is under a more enjoyable and relaxed circumstance. Kind Regards, Your Hospitality Service Expert

Would not recommend this hotel. Stayed on 7th floor which had no heating. An extra duvet offered as a solution. Desk chair was worn away to extent seat padding was visible. Service in bar extremely slow with very little staff. Those who were there either newly trained or untrained. Public areas were extremely cold with cold air coming from heating vents.
