Arrived to a grimacing, unfriendly receptionist who we since learned was the only staff in the building! Hotel and room smelled of damp, sheets were clean however pillows and mattress weren't! No hairdryers in room, curtains hanging open by a thread and no nets up so no privacy! Full Scottish Breakfast consisted of 1 bacon, 1 sausage of the link... more

For: Car park. Against: Room floor was wet. Curtains hanging by a bit of string. Only one cup between two. Converter heater (only one in room) falling apart. Safe?????? No water in shower. No plug in wash basin. Only trickle of water in wash basin. Plumbing in bathroom making wierd noises. Large gaps around pipes in toilet. Stains on wall... more

A very interesting place that looks as if it has seen better days. The curtain in our room was hanging up by one piece of string, only one light bulb out of 4 working, very eccentric plumbing in the bathroom and a hole in one of the beds. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights bed and breakfast. I would like to thank the staff as they were so helpful and friendly. We were made to feel so welcome. The hotel was clean and tidy more like home from home only with the great staff to look after you, and the Scottish breakfast was wonderful. We wil... more

If we weren't so tired from our flight we would have tried to find another hotel. Clearly this place is on its last legs. The breakfast was marginal at best. more
