A beautiful boutique hotel with fantastic hosts, a very comfy bar / lounge / guest area, very large rooms and a decent breakfast. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. more

We stayed here over St Patrick's Weekend and got a really warm, friendly reception. The room was also extremely spacious and very comfortable. Well worth the trip. more

Paisley was our fifth stop driving Scotland. We met our daughter, son-in-law and beautiful grand-daughter at the Glasgow airport by coincidence (we were dropping off the car and they just flew in form FL) so we taxied together on to Paisley. I had the Ashtree House reserved because of the TripAdvisor Reviews. As usual, no surprises! We had two rooms... more

Having read the other reviews, we wonder if we stayed in the same hotel! We didn't find the owners particularly friendly or helpful. Admittedly we got off to a bad start as the courtesy limousine didn't turn up after we'd waited 25 mins and we had to catch a taxi but a friendly and helpful person would have been able... more

Our very first 'negative' review. Just to note that we did have 3 bulbs out of 8 expired which have been replaced. The 'missing' bed side lamp was indeed replaced within 30 minutes of having been reported to us (the only item that was reported to us). The toilet flush button is now replaced. The curtains are 12' tall and...

I chose Ashtree House based on TripAdvisor ratings AND the fact that it was built in 1795, hence my dream come true to stay in a historic building. My husband and I, as well as my Irish cousin and her husband, enjoyed our 5 night stay very much. Our rooms were huge and very comfortable; bathrooms and toiletries were very... more

Besides the extra care service (getting a dependable taxi very early in the morning; friendly welcome and service well before check-in time; excellent recommendations--in person--for sightseeing and dining) and the spotless, capacious, and stylishly appointed room, the Ashtree House Hotel is just a few minutes from the airport. Definitely less than ten minutes. If you're habitually nervous, as I am,... more

A tranquil setting, nice views, off street parking, and town center proximity, this b&b has got the lot. To add to that, the owners are friendly and full of advice and the rooms are tastefully furnished. As a business travellor, I did miss a desk in my bedroom but I'm sure that some of the other bedrooms have a working... more

I had booked the hotel as a suprise for my partner who was coming to visit for the weekend from Plymouth. We arrived a little bit earlier than check in expected and so they gave us complimentary tea in their lovely cafe which was the best tea i think i've ever had! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.... more

The Ashtree House Hotel is a strange one. Part hotel, part B&B, it's a bit like staying with a wealthy friend or relative. The place itself is lovely inside. Big wide corridors, an abundance of traditional wooden flooring, a wide winding staircase and great big windows. If this was my house I'd be a very happy man! The owner is... more
