Having just completed a 23 day round UK trip staying at a total of 13 B&B's I would rate Coila Guest House the best. It was in Hazel and Charlie's attention to detail that they stood out. Little things like bottled water in the rooms, chocolates, full supply of soap etc. The bedroom and ensuite were a good size. King... More

Stayed in Coila for 5 nights, during September, the weather was exceptionally good, and we were able to walk about every day in the sunshine. Very central location, but very quiet, no noise from the busy road outside. Cosy bedroom with en suite and everything you could want, including a lovely teddy to keep an eye on us!! Substantial breakfast... More

Hazel and Charlie took great care of us in this lovely guest house in the heart of Ayr. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. A great location from which to enjoy all of the Burns sites, the Brig O' Doon, etc. We'll be back! More

Coila Guest House is a block from the train station--very convenient. Charlie helped us with a car hire and was very good with directions. Hazel gave us excellent dinig recommendations. Breakfast was wonderful in the very pleasant dining room. The bedroom en suite was very comfortable and quiet. We stayed only two nights before journeying on, but it was an... More

As a female travelling on my own, I felt safe and relaxed at Coila Guest House. Hazel and Charlie are extremely helpful and make guests feel very welcome in their home. The guest house is ideally located, close to the train station and town centre. I had a lovely large, light, airy room with every facility necessary for my stay,... More

I had a fantastic stay: Lovely room - very clean, comfortable and warm; amazing staff - caring and friendly; delicious food - very fresh, excellent menu. The guesthouse is well situated - close to the railway station - and finished to a high standard throughout; the breakfast room is especially charming. I can't recommend Coila highly enough! More

I stayed at Coila in December for a shopping trip in Ayr (great shops!). The house was warm and the owners were very friendly. The rooms/ bathrooms were extremely clean with plently of "extras" within the rooms. I enjoyed the selection at breakfast - fresh fruit and muffins. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coila to a friend for a relaxing break... More
