I was concerned about previous reviews however these relate to before the take over by Mckeever hotels. Look only at the more recent reviews. The hotel is an old mansion with superb grounds and two council run golf courses attached. Rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. more

i am told this hotel has recently been refurbished however, not to my standards anyway. We had a wonderful stay at Belleisle. It was a really beautiful setting and so peaceful with lots to explore in the surrounding area. This is the hotel out of Little Britain, with the dodgy hotelier who plays the pipes... it's cold, damp, smelly. We left within an hour. A shame as it could be so good. more
