Me, my brother and my sister-in-law, visited Ayr last month, booking and arriving very late, after 10 PM, the landlord couple were still waiting for us, both typical Scottish , candid and sincere. We were stunned by the entrance and its hallway, I would say its a section of a grand hotel rather than a guest house with splendid carpet... more

We have stayed at Inverlea several times within the past ten years, and have always enjoyed our visits. Liz and Douglas are excellent hosts; and, they do the "little things" that really make a difference! The location is great, with easy access to the Town Center, the beachfront, and all of the major attractions in Ayr. We would highly recommend... more

Me and my girlfriend were made to feel very welcome at this guest house. The service was excellent. When we arrived at seven we were looking for dinner, and the owner Liz was more than happy to inform us of local restaurants and even booked us a table at the hotel next door. The room exceeded expectations, was very modern... more

My Husband and I stayed at the Inverlea for one night on 15.11.08 on our way to Inverness. We had a lovely stay. Liz the owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat for the evening and was happy to book somewhere for us. We ended up at the EllisLand which offered great food at reasonable prices. We stayed at the Inverlea in Ayr for two nights in October. The room was neat and tidy. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. The cost of this b and b was very reasonable at about 54 pounds per night. I would definitely stay there again. We met a couple at breakfast who regularly... more
