Spent 4 nights at the Lodge. Although it needs some upgrading the rooms were very good, spacious and had all amenities. Food was good, and Staff very friendly. Monkton is a very quiet town and you would need to travel to Prestwick for alternative entertainment. Enjoyed the stay and would return. If you require a lively atmosphere go elsewhere, as... more

The rooms are filled to bursting with beds, bed linen is thin and torn, pillows well past their sell-by dates, poor mattresses, cheap furnishings and one of those showers where the shower curtain blows in and slimes you – you probably know the type. Windows don’t fit the frames and drafts come through – some hotel window frames are rotted... more

The room was OK -- the dinner was mediocre (very skimpy); for breakfast we were given one slice of white bread as apparently the cook doesn't arrive before 7am on Saturdays -- information that was not given to us either when I called or when we checked in and asked for an early breakfast. I would NEVER come back (I... more

I stayed at this hotel with my two children. Was very concerned when we saw the exterior as it really needs a good paint. However, the staff were very attentive and the room we were in was recently refurbished. Was a lovely size (a double and three single beds) and had a lovely big bathroom with a power shower. Would... more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here before an early flight from Prestwick. Total waste of money! We arrived and put in a double room which was dated and very basic for the price and the looked nothing like the pictures on the internet!! The room had a cupboard wedged closed with a piece of tissue, freebox not working, 1 sash... more

We stayed here before and after our long weekend to Paris. We did read the bad reviews but as we had got a good deal (£49 per night for a triple room which included our parking) we decided it was worth the risk. We paid £5 each way for our transfers. I agree with previous reviews that hotel is nothing... more

Whatever you do- do not stay at this hotel. I cannot comment on the rooms because we never saw them. The hotel seems to have an offical policy of double booking and then sedning their overflow to B&Bs vaguely in the area. Just to say that between the time we were supposed to be picked up- a service we had... more

I cant quite emphasise how terrible the service at this hotel is. We arrived after a long flight and the pre-arranged and pre-paid transfer took ages to turn up and then left us starnded with another family at the airport as he drove off without us taking other people instead and we had to get and pay for our own... more

We were laid over in Prestwick due to poor weather in London and British Airways put us up in the Manor Park Hotel. Steve and his staff were phenomenally accommodating. There were quite a few grumbling people who were unhappy to be laid over in Scotland, and Steve did nothing but entertain and show us us a tremendous time. I... more

When we arrived at Manor Park hotel we had travelled from Grimsby so we was exhausted . We walked into a warm welcome and was checked into our room with no fuss. The room was fantastic clean, warm and all the facilities you would expect. After a quick scrub it was time to get tea in the hotel. The food was excellent... more
