This B&B was the best place my wife and I stayed at in Scotland; at the time it was rated 4-star... it put all of the 5-star B&Bs we stayed in to shame! The owner, Cara, and her family were wonderful, and the food was outstanding. I can't wait for a chance to go back! more

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Creag-Ard House on Loch Ard in Aberfoyle during our honeymoon, and we greatly enjoyed our stay. The house itself is quite charming and our room was just lovely. The location, right on Loch Ard just one mile outside of Aberfoyle was beautiful and relaxing and there were lots of great walks... more

Our three- day stay at Craig-Ard House was wonderful. It's a beautiful home with an outstanding view of Loch Ard. The most magical woodland walk begins just outside the door. Quiet, picturesque, gorgeous views and gracious hospitality. We highly recommend this place and it's owner, Cara. TripAdvisor Member Lindstrom, Minnesota more

My wife and I absolutely loved this B & B. We haven't stayed in a B & B for decades, prefering hotels/motels. This is a lovely, stone house. We found the bedroom to be comfortable and large. It should be pointed out that we were lucky enough to get the large, front room, with the spectacular view of the loch... more

After a full week of travelling throughout Scotland I have to say that Creag-Ard House was the best place we stayed. Absolutely marvelous views of the lake and mountains. The hospitality we recieved was top-notch, as was the breakfast. The bedroom was average, probably because we booked late and took the last room; otherwise I would give 5 stars. I... more

You can't do better than Creag-Ard House. This is what B&B is supposed to be. We felt welcome and were given every courtesy. We had a double with an extra bed for our 9 year old. We slept very well. The price was perfect for what we received and feel it is the best value in the area. The view... more

Idyllic lockside location. Very good breakfast with a selection of fruit, fresh baked scones and homemade marmalade as well as a variety of cooked options. Great hospitality. The main regret was that the stay was spoilt by uncomfortable cheap mattresses. When you pay £90 for a double room, even if it does have a fantastic view, you expect a better... more

Just come back from a weekend at Creag-Ard. Accomodation was very good, views both from the room (No.2) and the front door overlook the Loch and the Trossachs - truly fantastic. Food was very good and the hospitality from Cara (owner) faultless. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends, and would intend to stay there again if we... more

Surely one of the loveliest B&Bs in Scotland, Victorian-era Creag Ard House is run with charm and professionalism by Cara Wilson, whose big, beautiful and elegant home offers wonderful lake and mountain views (room #1 has the pick of them) as well as pleasant gardens. Walks begin at the front gate, there are good places to eat five minutes away,... more

Two visits to date and it's one of my favourite places to stay in the UK. The house is beautiful and immaculately presented, the hospitallity is first rate, the breakfasts are huge and delicious and the location and views from the rooms are breath taking. Add to these riches the proximity of some fine woodland and mountain walks, the option... more
