My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2008. The bedroom is a very good size, with plenty of storage space and a full size bath with shower. The decor is a little tired, but it is clean so that's the main thing. The bed is huge and very comfortable, pub has its own car park. We... more

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the experience. Hotel room extremely comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was substantial and of an excellent quality. Pub food well prepared and good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient. Good value for money hotel. Would defintely stay there again. Pam and Hamilton Macmillan South Africa more

Having read some of the reviews on this site, I must state that this Inn is a great find and I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed for two nights - 21st and 22nd March 2008 and we had a wonderful time. The staff are a credit to the Inn, warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean... more

Dropped in here for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. Good food options at decent prices, and very good for 'pub grub' would definitely go back. Staff were also friendly and attentive and service was quick. Plenty of room to sit too, not packed in like sardines, as often seems to be the case at Sunday lunchtime in pubs,... more

It's a really lovely location, and the first night we stayed there was fine. The staff are good, and the food and room were OK. However, on the second night of our stay, we were locked out of the hotel (despite having a front door key) as the door was bolted. We couldn't get hold of anyone, and there was... more

We picked the Forth Inn partly because of the great things we had read regarding the award winning food. Unfortunately, we didn't find the quality we anticipated. The room was OK, not large but clean and tidy - overlooking the car park as in previous reviews but this didn't cause us any problems in late October. The bathroom was small... more

We had a really lovely room with a huge comfortable bed and en suite bath and shower. Unfortunately we were at the front of the Inn and so suffered from noise from the car park below. It seemed to be a place for the locals to meet after hours with one or two noisy cars arriving and departing too. A... more

My wife and I found the Forth Inn quite by chance when we were in Aberfoyle a few years back. We own a timeshare in the area and called in for a drink one evening. It was obviously the hub of the village. Full of locals enjoying themselves as well as tourist on bus trips and hiking holidays. After a... more

This isn’t the gastro pub I was expecting – it’s a locals pub. As such, it didn’t close until 1AM (people didn’t leave the grounds until later), and boy! did we know about it (sadly our room was at the front – people smoking therefore did so outside our window – and noisily chatted /shouted to their friends). In addition,... more
