I write regarding the apalling experience which I encountered at the Loch Erisort Inn during a recent meal. Having worked for years in the hotel and catering industry I was left stunned at the total contempt shown by all staff at the Inn to myself and my group and the disgraceful standard of service which we were offered. On arrival... more

We stayed at Loch Erisort for two days, the 29th and 30th of September. Bernie, our host and sometimes bartender, showed us our two rooms. Both rooms were huge with excellent views across Loch Erisort, very well appointed, fresh, clean, with an amazingly large bathroom with a power shower. After settling down we returned to the Loch Erisort restaurant where... more

....and dog friendly. Not much more we could ask for!!. We have just returned from a week touring the Hebrides and stayed 2 nights at Loch Erisort Inn. We asked for a room overlooking the loch and thats exactly what we got, the hotel had no double rooms with this view so they gave us the family room and pushed... more

We arrived in the afternoon with out two children and had lunch. It was beautiful food - all home cooked and I think the place would have been lovely to stay in. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and when we were there a local lunch was taking place so if they go there it must be good. I... more

Management response from

We have a very good idea who wrote this and it is, I'm afraid, a nasty piece of mischief making None of the staff can recall any incident in any way similar to those described, we have never reported anyone for drunk driving (in fact we often give lifts ourselves to customers who have a problem getting home) and staff...

How they could give this place a "terrible" rating when they didn't stay at the inn, and complain about the facilities when they were staying for free I really can't understand. Anyway back to our stay- 3 nights in mid June. We stayed in room 2 which was large comfortable with natural colours and modern wooden furniture. The bathroom was... more

I am surprised at the negative comments posted by some other recent visitors. This is a great place to stay - comfortable bedrooms fitted with high quality but unfussy furniture, good breakfasts and outstanding food - as good as the best anywhere for pub food, including superb fresh local fish and seafood. We arrived on Saturday early evening when the... more
