Had a wonderful time at the Waters Edge. Different cooked breakfast each day and they were well presented with attention to detail. Donnie and Colleen were were very knowledgeable and happy to help in any way they could.Suggested things to do and see as well as local places to eat dinner. We would happily return if ever back this way.... more

We had two nights at the Waters Edge.It was lovely! It is perfectly situated on the edge of the loch with lots of interesting places within walking distance. We appreciated the guests lounge, kitchen and loo! We really enjoyed the delicious and excellent breakfasts whilst chatting to other guests at the one table in the dining room.We would definately go back. more

From the moment we arrived, my husband and I were welcomed into Coleen and Donnie's home. We were a little early but as the weather was so bad, Coleen sat us down and allowed me (a pregnant mum) to relax. We were offered refreshments and our room was ready so we checked in. Gorgeous suite - The Cottage, decorated in... more

My family stayed here whilst attending our wedding at the local luss church and duck bay marina. From the moment we checked in nothing could be any trouble, the rooms were clean and uniquely decorated, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Donny even supplied father of the groom with a hip flask to ease any of the grooms nerves! The... more

We arrived to a very warm welcome, with champagne on ice and a fabulous room. The cottage has spectacular views with a very ecclectic and interesting interior. We sippped champagne sitting outside in the quaint garden, looking onto the loch watching the boats pass by. The evening was pleasant in the communal lounge and felt very private. Breakfast was delicous... more

We stayed here on the 7th and 8th of March while attending a wedding at a near by hotel. The owner Donnie was most welcoming and intrduced us to his very unique home. How cosy and welcoming......very. The guest sitting room with its leather sofas! could have slept there! The rooms we did see, our and the opposite room were... more

We stayed here for 2 nights on 4/5 March 08. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was beautifully decorated. You can sit in bed and look out your window at the views over the loch and the mountains...fantastic! The weather was a little chilly whilst we were there, but there is a terrace where you can sit out with... more

The Waters Edge Cottage is set in a beautiful location overlooking Loch Lomond. Our room was lovely but the hosts leave a lot to be desired. The wife barely spoke two words to us the three nights that we stayed there, which we found very rude given the amount of money we spent there and the husband just about piped... more

I feel that this review is unfair, iwould hope that people considering a stay at Water Edge Cottage read through all the reviews before making a decision. I only wish that this person had relayed her feelings to me prior to check out. I always use trip advisor when selecting properties,I find the reviews very helpfull. I have owned Waters Edge...

We stayed here in August 2006 for 2 nights. We had the garden room which was a beautiful room with it's own small private terrace looking over the Loch. Blankets were provided to keep us warm whilst we sat out late into the evening. There was sherry and biscuits to welcome us on arrival. The room was compact but beautifully... more

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this cottage in 2002 and decided to return recently for my 50th birthday celebrations. It was a great idea! First of all, it is a great location being in the Loch Lomond Country Park area with lots to see and do. Great for hill walking, water sports and boating also shopping at... more
