When we arrived, Marie, the landlady, picked us up from the bus station and also dropped us back there for our return bus the next day, which was very kind of her. Stayed in a twin room with ensuite shower room. Both were a good size and were clean. The only minor criticism was that the shower was fairly lukewarm... more

On the one hand, the price was hard to beat. If memory serves, it was only something like 30 or 35 euros a night. And the breakfast was fine. But, I have to concur with the negative reviewers' points. We had a child with us and thus went to bed early. It was, however, difficult to sleep with the constant... more

Marie couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful to us during our 2 night stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, a good size and excellent showers. Other niceties like soap and shower gel also provided. An excellent breakfast too. Ennis is a lovely town and Stonehaven B & B is the icing on the cake. If you are... more

I for one completely disagree with the last post. I stayed at the B&B in the same month and really loved it. The owner Marie, while a little shy couldn't do enough to help us, especially with local info and recommendations for restaurants etc. The whole family, and especially the kids were so friendly, made us feel at home in... more

We stayed 2 nights at Stonehaven in May 07. I could harp on little details like the bedroom floor being covered in dust bunnies and Marie (the unsocial innkeeper) not bothering to refill our tea station after the first night, but what makes this place absolutely unacceptable is the sound of slamming doors that constantly comes from the first floor.... more

We stayed in Stone Haven for four nights in June, and it was a very pleasant stay. The triple room, with three single beds, was very nice. The en suite bathroom was small but had a nice sunroof to let in the light. There was some traffic noise from the street out front, but it died down at night sufficiently... more

We stayed at Stonehaven for 2 nights in June. The reviews posted on here made it sound like a pleasant place, but we were mistaken. The owner, Marie is very blunt and not very accomodating to guests in her house - not a good combination for a B&B owner. The social area is tiny and we never felt welcome in... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 days in June, 2004, and found Stonehaven to be a pleasant small B & B (with 3 second floor rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms) in a private home. The double room and bath were small but adequate, very clean, and nicely furnished--comforatable bed too! Easy walking distance to the main part of... more

We stayed in a pleasant B&B, Stonehaven, within walking distance of town, which was just large enough for friendly folks and shopping, as well as the relief of an lovely, quaint Irish town without throngs of tourists, or noisy traffic. The food was most reasonable, much more so than in Galway, or Limmerick, and the village was just large enough... more
