I was in Ireland for my honeymoon. This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. And that includes Europe and America. Never again!

The Ashford Court is not a hotel at all, and I have stayed in B&Bs that are much closer to a hotel than this place. On arrival (late at night) there was no one at reception. I phoned the hotel number, and I think I spoke to the owner who directed me to where my key was left! Anyway, the... More

Room was comfortable enough - view was dreadful, no remote for TV and when we asked for one, we were given one for a different tv - obviously it did not work! Seems like this hotel is going down the tube - even their credit card machine was out of order. We booked this hotel as we were in the... More

Used to e good, but won't go back. This place has sadly faded and it may be a long way back. Our booking (via an agent) came thru incorrect & hotel 'apparantly' fully booked, so some of our party had to return home!! Breakfast poor .. they do make full Irish (another guest had one but I had already eaten... More

The hotel is advertised as high quality hotel. We did not experience this. The rooms were poor, bathroom was filthy. They advertise breakfast but all you get is dried up fruit, scones and cereals that have been left sitting out on the table from the night before. No fry up at all. Even in the guest information pack they state... More

staff is friendly - that's the only nice thing to say about this run down place. There were old cigarettes all over our balcony - and let's not mention a totally dirty toilet brush. Disgusting! They advertised Full Irish Breakfast - which mainly consisted of toast and preserves, scones and croissants as solid as rocks and not much more. No... More

The owner has lost interest, shabby decor, no night porter. Paper thin walls, someone in an adjacent bedroom knocked on the wall when we were conversing in normal tones. Really I can't stress enough, avoid this hotel, will just depress the hell out of you. Loads of other places to stay in the vicinity WITH room service. Oh and have... More
