I went to this hostel with my friends about 1 month ago. We didn´t like nothing. It´s far from the city center. You have to walk about 15 minutes. Beds are uncomfortable and it´s too dirty. They have dogs. So, imagine with the carpet. how disgusting. When someone close the door, you can listen it in the whole hostel. The worst was that when we paid the bedroom, Tracy (owner of the hostel) that told us that the money that we paid in the reservation was for the website and that we had to pay the complete prize. As we forgot the papers of the booking at home we couldn´t say another thing and we paid. When we went back to our home and we read this papers we realised that she lied to us and she cheated us. She kept the money for her. Pathetic. So, i don´t recommend this hostel. more

Aaran House Tourist Hostel is run a by a nice lady called Tracy, witha little help from her mother and a dog called Riley. They are a good lot, very friendly and helpful, they give the place a homely feel and really try to look after the people who come and stay. There are a few criticisms I could make about Aaran House, but the good generally outweighs the bad to such an extent that I would recommend this place with no hesitation rather than recommend any of the larger more modern hostels in town. The showers are old, the push button kind which come on for around thirty seconds and then turn off again, but this was not a problem really. Some aspects of the kitchen could be a little better maintained, some of the burnes on the stove do not work and stuff like this, but the truth is Tracy keeps everything... more
