3 Nov 2009 | Trip type: Family New

Spent a week in the penthouse here with the family. Unfortunately, things were not as advertised -- like the "non-smoking" room, the fireplace, the kitchen (no more than a wet bar), the internet, even the shower. The space itself WAS glorious (if a little ragged) but so much went wrong from the beginning that it was a little frustrating. Well,... more

We booked a package, 2 nights B&B with 1 dinner for 109 euro per person. The room was lovely, overlooking the entrance of the hotel. It was a bit noisey at night, but hey, you can expect some traffic when you're staying in the centre of a city. We went out shopping one of the days and could easily walk... more

I booked this hotel in July with a specific request for disabled facilities in the bathroom. On our arrival we were allocated a room without any disabled facilities whatsoever.Next morning the wonderful staff swung into action!! Eureka!!! We were moved to a wonderful room with all the facilities we required. Costs of breakfasts and dinners with wine were waived and... more

I stayed here last week and the location is great. It took me 5 minutes to walk from this great hotel to my appointment which was at 9.10am on patrick street. The train station was a short taxi ride. perfect all round. more

Having spent a night in the Imperial last week, I really don't understand the bad reviews below. On arrival we were greeted with outstanding customer service from Sarah at reception whom continued to make us feel more than welcome during our stay. We loved our room and thought it was more than comfortable with plenty of space, a huge bed... more

Stayed in a small pokey double room. It had 2 frosted windows that had a wonderful view of a 4 foot square shaft that was home to a very noisy vent. There were no proper windows in the room where you could see the outside world, so to speak. The noise was annoying but the sense of claustrophobia was worse.... more

Just back from a 3 day Special Offer at this hotel. 3 B n B's and 2 dinners in Pembroke Restauraant and lunch at the Farmgate cafe downtown on 1 day. Requested a quiet room and smoking preferred. We were given room 122. 1 minute after entering this room I wanted to run out, it was just so depressing. It... more

5 night stay, central location. Special mention to receptionist Geraldine, porter Ger and manager John, all who made my stay very enjoyable. Friendly hotel. Gluten free sandwiches available in hotel cafe. All bedrooms look out onto a wall, this is due to the cental location of the hotel, however, this is offset by the facilities, decor and comfort of the... more
