I received a call 3weeks before my wedding that they are doing some "renovations"........more like biulding site. We called down to have a look Thursday....I was shocked! After a v long drive to Cork (Oxegen weekend) I arrived at the Rochestown Park Hotel to be greeted with "apologies for appearance due to renovation". Entering a make shift reception area I feared the worst but having checked in and making my way to my room, it was a huge surprise. The renovated rooms are fabulous The smell of... more

My boyfriend and I decided to stay at Rochestown Park as we were going to a show at the Marquee in Cork. Friends had recommended the hotel to us and now I can see why. The hotel is currently undergoing some extensive renovations but clearly visible temporary signage is in place throughout the hotel to help guests and building noise... more

We booked this hotel at the last min through a hotel booking site. On arrival the hotel had no record of our reservation (even though we had payed a deposit) I should point out that this was not the hotels fault, but the website we used. the check in staff were wonderful, and quickly sorted the problem, and put us... more

I would firstly like to thank this trip adviser member for taking the time to provide us with their realistic and balanced feedback. The hotel is undergoing an €18 million refurbishment and redevelopment project. Up until the 11th of June we were able to isolate wings of the hotel to ensure little or no disruption to our guests. However the...

This is a truly awful place. It started with the rudest woman on earth arguing with us about when we intended to stay. She insisted it was 26th December 2008 for 1 day. It wasn't. Anyway no apology. Oh and by the way don't ask for change it clearly is too much trouble. The swimming pool (which was very nice)... more

We stayed at the Rochestown Park Hotel last Saturday night (17th May 2008). We were attending a friend's wedding reception. The wedding reception itself was fine and the food was nice, however our experience with the rest of the hotel was not so pleasant. When we arrived the front office manager was at reception, we gave him our name and... more

Dear Gillyann, Thank you for taking the opportunity to leave a review. I sincerely apologise if you felt my welcome came across to you in an unfriendly manner. I can assure you this was not my intention and i pride myself on my professionalism. in my defense it is hotel policy that bookings made over the internet do require the...

My husband & I stayed at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork last weekend. We were attending a Charity function in the hotel. I found that the Hotel itself was terribly 'scattered': a blend of old and new: we had to walk quite a distance to find our room. I don't think that it would be suitable for elderly people... more

We would like to thank you for your honest review and glad we exceeded your expectations on food and entertainment when you stayed with us in April. The points you raised are very valid. You mentioned you found the hotel a little scattered with a mix of standards, I would agree with this point, however I would like to share...

My Wife and I stayed at The Rochestown Park Hotel on Wednesday and Thursday last. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The reception staff were very courtious and efficient during checkin. Our bedroom was very clean and spacious and couldn't be faulted in anyway. Breakfast was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with a fantastic buffet and a... more
