My husband & I stayed at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork last weekend. We were attending a Charity function in the hotel. I found that the Hotel itself was terribly 'scattered': a blend of old and new: we had to walk quite a distance to find our room. I don't think that it would be suitable for elderly people... more

We would like to thank you for your honest review and glad we exceeded your expectations on food and entertainment when you stayed with us in April. The points you raised are very valid. You mentioned you found the hotel a little scattered with a mix of standards, I would agree with this point, however I would like to share...

My Wife and I stayed at The Rochestown Park Hotel on Wednesday and Thursday last. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The reception staff were very courtious and efficient during checkin. Our bedroom was very clean and spacious and couldn't be faulted in anyway. Breakfast was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with a fantastic buffet and a... more

I stayed here a few years back, and it was bad then, now it is just brutally bad. It's also about to become a building site with renovations in progress. Long overdue, they should have been done years ago as the hotel has slipped very badly during the last 5 years or so. This is now a two star hotel, with... more

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience. It is through reviews such as this one that has allowed us to under take one of the biggest refurbishment work in the history of the hotel. Im delighted to say we are well under way in our €18 million redevelopment and refurbishment project. “As...

Horrific is the only way i can describe my stay at this hotel. The food was horrible, the room was dirty, the staff were hostile. I checked in with my boyfriend and another couple, even though we asked for room together when we booked a month in advance we were placed at opposite ends of the hotel. After the regular... more

We (wife, daughter, self) stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. We ate in the bar one night, and in the restaurant the next, plus two breakfasts there, and enjoyed all of the meals. The leisure centre and swimming pool were very good (we were there twice). We've been to the hotel before, and we'll be back again. more

After receiving a gift of a nights stay in the Rochestown Park I logged to your site in August and read some of the reviews, which upset me and caused me to contact the hotel and pay extra for an upgraded room at an extra cost, a cost we need not have bore!!!!!!! We were very surprised to say the... more

Every one from Cork knows that The Rochestown Park Hotel has seen better days when it first open years ago. It is mostly used for people wishing to host functions, and because of this received alot of battering over the years. I wouldn't say it's a 4-star luxury hotel, but rather Holiday Inn sorta standard. It does have plenty of... more

I had been involved in an exhibition at this hotel and decided the next time I was in Cork I would stay at it. The check in was great but when I got to my room it was the pits. It was so small I had to keep shifting a chair around when I wanted to do something in the... more

We received a gift of a weekend at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. We got a bit lost on the way and ended up phoning the hotel for directions, and were sent in the wrong direction by the surly, unhelpful sounding girl at reception. Arriving at the hotel, we checked in...no warmth, greeting, information about facilities etc, or any... more

Stayed in this hotel in April. I travel for work - alone - and always check locally before booking a hotel. Didn't in this case and what a mistake. The Hotel entrance etc. and the waiter staff were fine. However the room - in particular the bed and shower were a different story. The staff had obviously had a problem... more
