Having booked a suite, we were greeted by perfectly trained staff on reception, after a speedy and efficient check-in we were shown to our suite, located in a discreet part of the hotel accessed by a spiral staircase up to the top floor, the suite comprising of a very large and period bedroom complete with antique furniture, and a lounge... more

My wife and I stayed at the Maryborough Hotel & Spa Hotel for a close friend's wedding. It was a lovely stay overall. The rooms were moderm and stylist with pleasant, contemporary styling. We had a spacious balcony with a table and chairs and it appears that all the rooms on our side of the hotel had the same. They... more

My husband and I recently stayed in the Maryborough and were extremely happy to have done so. Firstly, it is quite impressive as a building, resembling the old style "big house" at the front. It is situated on a pleasantly wooded site, which allows you to feel as if you're in the countryside despite being very close to Cork city.... more

Myself and my husband are just back from a stay in the Maryborough House Hotel as are many of our extended family as we were there for a family wedding. I was compelled to write this review as this was truly a beautiful hotel and definitely the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in so I think it's my duty... more

Have recently returned from a brief but thoroughly enjoyable stay in this hotel. We were attending a wedding & being 6 months pregnant, decided to treat ourselves & stay over. Delighted we did!! The hotel is in a beautiful setting.....only a few mins from shops in Douglas, yet surrounded by nice gardens & mature trees down a private entrance. The... more

We stayed at the Maryborough for a wedding. I was very impressed with the design of the room and hotel. Wwe were in the new wing; the room was big, colourful and well appointed. Lovely grounds and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and special credit needs to be given to the staff who served breakfast to the mob of people... more

The Hotel was expanded upon the original Georgian building into an almost Zen like atmosphere. If you have been to Tao restaurant in mid-town Manhattan, then that would be the closest I could describe it. The breakfast has a range never seen before in scale or quality for a hotel. The amenities will put you in the most relaxed mood... more

We stayed for one night in the Maryborough Hotel and Spa, which was just not long enough! We were greeted on arrival by a lovely receptionist and even though we were early, she arranged our room for us straight away. I enjoyed the facilities at the beautiful spa, which is tucked away under the hotel - fabulous treatments and wonderful... more

We stayed at the Maryborough in September for 2 nights and had an amazing time. We went for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we had! When we arrived, we got to our room to found we'd been upgraded and were given a complimentary bottle of wine! The room was lovely and spacious, modern decor, gorgeous bathroom, and... more
